Earlier in his career, he worked in corporate accounting and M&A at IBM’s Research Triangle Park site in North Carolina during a period of rapid expansion in the company’s software division, fueled by the rise of big data, cloud computing, and the early-AI development of “IBM Watson.” His professional journey began in Atlanta, Georgia, as part of General Electric’s renowned Financial Management Program, where he focused on manufacturing finance for the energy division (now GE Vernova).
Justin is deeply committed to regional economic development. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Roanoke-Blacksburg Innovation Alliance (RBIA) and GO Virginia Region 2. He is also a former board member of Onward NRV and the Virginia Tech Alumni Association.
