In response to a request from SUNY-Canton, the Virginia Tech Center for Economic and Community Engagement (CECE) conducted a three-year evaluation capacity building (ECB) program for the National Science Foundation Enabling Partnerships to Increase Innovation Capacity (EPIIC) funded LIGHT UP Collaborative. The Collaborative, comprised of Alvernia University, Bowie State University, Kean University, Marymount University, Rowan College and Burlington County, and the SUNY College of Technology at Canton, seeks to develop an enhanced innovation research enterprise ecosystem at each institution, catalyzing a greater ecosystem within the mid-Atlantic and Northeastern United States. The goal of LIGHT UP is to help member institutions with sustainable practices to meet their capacity building goals.
