Joshua Nicholson

Joshua Nicholson is pursuing a master's degree in the Urban and Regional Planning Program. He previously attended the University of Michigan, where he majored in Urban Technology, focusing on a combination of policy, data, and design. He is from Virginia Beach. As an undergrad, Joshua completed an independent study project on community development and downtown tourism in Clarksdale, Mississippi, which sparked an interest in topics surrounding urban economics and participatory planning. Through his MURP degree and work at CECE, Joshua hopes to develop stronger expertise on combining data analysis with qualitative methods. He is particularly interested in international urban development and sustainability and hopes to pursue that research through a Fulbright fellowship upon graduation.
