Ray Mizui

Ray Mizui is pursuing a Master of Urban and Regional Planning at the Virginia Tech Research Center in Arlington, Virginia. He attended the University of Maryland, where he double majored in finance and international business.

Ray brings three years of experience in the housing finance industry, where he worked across product research and social impact at Fannie Mae. He is passionate about exploring the intersection between addressing wealth inequality and promoting equitable economic and transportation development. Ray seeks to analyze urban planning practices from cities around the world and adapt relevant strategies to his own community. He believes his interdisciplinary perspective, spanning community engagement, finance, and research, will help advance inclusive and sustainable planning policies.
