Career Pathway Development Initiatives for the Lynchburg Region focuses on a two-pronged approach to better understand the landscape of the materials and machinery manufacturing industry in Region 2's nuclear and energy sector. A consultant will complete a skills gap analysis and workforce sector strategy that will inform the region's immediate, short, and long-term needs in their largest sectors: nuclear and energy. Additionally, the project team is developing and launching the region's first Educator Academy, which will consist of employer-school leadership workshops and employer faciIity tours.
